Dr. Kligman is a Diplomate and Fellow at the American Academy of Family Physicians. He is board-certified in Family Medicine and Hospice and Palliative Medicine. Dr. Kligman is also an ordained Interfaith Contemplative Minister possessing a Master of Divinity degree from Interfaith Theological Seminary.

Based on his extensive research in successful aging, Dr. Kligman practices “longevity medicine”integrating various complementary and alternative healing traditions with state of the art allopathic care.

Dr. Kligman served as Head of the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Arizona from 1992-1995, and as Professor and Head of the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Iowa from 1995-1998, before returning to Tucson to enter private practice. At the University of Arizona, Dr. Kligman has served as an Attending Physician for the Program in Integrative Medicine, Co-Director of the Arizona Center on Aging, and Professor of Family and Community Medicine. He developed the Optimal Aging program at Canyon Ranch Health Resort, and is currently associate medical director of Casa de la Luz Hospice in Tucson. He designed and served as medical director of Project Age Well, a 5- year longitudinal research study in healthy aging for Southern Arizona. He is also the founder and medical director of Clinica Amistad, a free clinic in Tucson.

His seminary training and ordination by the Interfaith Theological Seminary deepened his awareness of the spiritual issues impacting upon one’s health and wellbeing, and redirected his own spiritual practice toward the healing work of hospice and care of the indigent.

Amelia Lo is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of Pennsylvania in 2004 and her Masters of Science from Columbia University in 2010. She has received professional training in different facets of alternative medicine including Herbs, Nutraceuticals, & Supplements, Craniosacral Therapy, and Universal White Time Healing. Amelia is committed to holistic healing by incorporating allopathic, complementary, and alternative medicine modalities to improve the well-being and health of her patients

 Dr June Stevens NMD, received her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2004 and completed her family practice residency, with an emphasis in cardiology and women’s health, at the Southwest Naturopathic Medical Center in Scottsdale Arizona. She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Southern Maine. Dr Stevens lectures throughout the United States on topics related to Naturopathic Medicine and was a contributing author for the cardiovascular health sections of the book, Prescription for Nutritional Healing 4th Ed. Blending 15 years of cardiovascular experience with Naturopathic Medicine, Dr Stevens focuses her practice in cardiology and women’s health care. She has a unique perspective in that she has experience with both naturopathic and conventional treatments.

Karen Autrey is an RN with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. She has 30 years experience in a variety of clinical settings as well as medical companies related to cardiology and computers used in hospital settings. She also has extensive patient and client education experience. Karen is a certified massage therapist and Integral Yoga instructor and has attended workshops in therapeutic touch, shiatsu and reflexology. She is the coordinator for the AgeWell Longevity program that Dr. KLigman started several years ago to enhance his patient's primary care experience. She also does Wellness coaching for clients and teaches Yoga classes at Southwest Integrative healthcare.

 Linda Joy Stone, M.S., L.Ac., Dipl. Ac. (NCCAOM) was trained in California and Beijing, China. She has been practicing Chinese medicine and acupuncture for 20 years. She currently practices at Southwest Integrative Healthcare as well as at the University of Arizona Campus Health Sports Medicine Department and previously at Canyon Ranch Health Resort, where she implemented "Acuphoria", an anti-stress protocol. She is also a co-owner of the Asian Institute of Medical Studies, www.asianinstitute.edu, that offers Masters degrees in acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She is committed to "enlivening medicine for the body, mind and soul" and "getting to the heart of the matter". Dr Ann Baldwin has her own practice for stress management “Mind-Body-Science” in which she uses Reiki and of Biofeedback techniques to reduce the damaging effects of stress on the physical body, the mind and the emotions. She obtained her Bachelors degree in Physics from University of Bristol, UK, her Masters degree in Radiation Physics from University of London, UK and her PhD in Physiology from Imperial College, University of London. She has trained in heart rate variability with the Biofeedback Certification Institute of America and has practiced Reiki (Master Level) and Reconnective Healing for 10 and 3 years, respectively on people and animals. Her work has been featured on KVOA News 4 and on KUAT Arizona Illustrated. In humans, both Biofeedback and Reiki can help to alleviate chronic pain, headaches, insomnia, high blood pressure, anxiety, depression and stress. Dr. Baldwin is a certified HeartMath one-on-one provider and is also licensed to provide the ‘Stopping Emotional Eating’ HeartMath program.

She has over 100 peer-reviewed publications in energy healing and physiology and has been a member of several review panels for National Institutes of Health and the National Science Foundation. Her research has been funded by NIH, NSF, American Heart Association, Arizona Disease Control Research Commission, and by private and corporate sources. John Chabin, MA, M.Div, LPC, has over twenty years experience working in various capacitites in Counseling and Social Services. John B. Sullivan, Jr., M.D.

Medical Toxicology &  Environmental Health

 

Dr. Sullivan is available for consultations in the areas of toxic exposures and environmental health. He retired July 1, 2011 from the University of Arizona Health Sciences Center after 28 years of clinical practice, teaching, and research involving medical toxicology. He is continuing to practice medical toxicology at Southwest Integrative Healthcare. Dr. Sullivan is the past medical director of the Arizona Poison Center and remains a consultant to the poison center in occupational and environmental medical toxicology. Prior to relocating to Arizona in 1984, Dr. Sullivan was a faculty member at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and associate director of the Rocky Mountain Poison Center in Denver, Colorado. After his residency in family medicine at the University of Alabama College of Community Health Sciences, he completed a clinical pharmacology and toxicology fellowship sponsored by the National Institutes of Health at the University of Colorado health Sciences Center and Rocky Mountain Poison Center in Denver. He was board certified in medical toxicology in 1980 and is a fellow and full member of American College of Medical Toxicology (www.acmt.net), the professional organization of physicians in the US that recognizes board certification in medical toxicology. Dr. Sullivan is also a fellow of the American Academy of Clinical Toxicology, and member of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine and the Wilderness Medical Society. He is the co-author/co-editor of the book, Clinical Environmental Health and Toxic Exposures published by Lippincott Williams and Wilkins.

 

In addition to his professional practice, Dr. Sullivan has studied the interaction of world religions, cultures and ecology and the importance of intact ecosystems and natural resources to personal and global health. He has special interests in global climate change and health and the effects of toxic exposures on susceptible populations.
